10th Planet, the UK’s leading digital media facility, has launched a state-of-the-art DVD and CD digital printing service. The digital print system, developed in conjunction with ink manufacturers Sun Chemical, offers a unique high gloss full colour print for both CD and DVD.
Heralded as the fastest digital print system on the market, it will allow the Central London duplication facility to turn around high volume duplication runs in 24 hours or less.
In addition, the film- and plate-free process is significantly more environmentally friendly than litho (offset) or screen print processes.
“It was a natural progression for us;” says MD Jonathan Moore, “with digital print we can offer our clients the highest quality 4 colour disc print available and in the shortest lead times possible for any print system. The lower setup costs and file-to-disc process mean that we can offer short run discs at replication prices.
